Day 1: Arrival at Amman Airport Our representative welcomes you and assists you through immigration. He will meet with your driver, who transfers you to your hotel in Amman and helps you with the check-in. The rest of the day is free.

Day 2: Explore the capital After breakfast, we will start the day with a private city tour of Amman. At the Citadel, you will see remains from three different periods and have a panoramic view over the capital. In the traditional area of downtown, we have a look at the 2nd century Roman Theater before heading to the modern parts of the city. We will visit the Royal Automobile Museum (closed Tuesdays) exhibiting classic cars of the late King Hussein or the Children’s Museum, the only one of its kind in the whole Middle East. After an exciting day return to your hotel.

Day 3: Jerash & Roman chariot races – Dead Sea – Amman In the morning, we will drive about 50 km north to Jerash. This is the best preserved Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. You enter the historical place via Hadrian’s Arch and continue to the Oval Plaza and the Roman Colonnaded Street. The Roman lifestyle comes alive during the Roman Army & Chariot Show (closed Tuesdays) where you can see racing chariots and fighting gladiators in an original setting. We end the day with leisure time at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, where you can float in the salty waters. Then back to your hotel in Amman.

Day 4: Amman – Kerak – Petra Today we head south to Petra, which will be a drive of up to 3 hours. En route we visit the Crusader castle at Kerak. Karak Castle soars above its valleys and hills like a great ship riding waves of rocks. It is a typical crusader fortress, with a maze of dimly lit stone-vaulted rooms and corridors leading into each other through heavy arches and doorways. From Kerak we continue to your hotel in Petra where the rest of the day is free.

Day 5: Petra visit – Wadi Rum After breakfast, we will start your visit to the rock city Petra. If you like, you can take a short horse ride or walk to the narrow gorge, the Siq, from where you go on to the beautiful Treasury. From there you can continue to the Street of Facades and the Royal Tombs. In the afternoon we drive 1.5 hrs to Wadi Rum, one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the world. After watching the amazing sunset, you will have dinner at a Bedouin styled camp where you will spend the night in tents and have the magnificent experience of the starry desert sky.

Day 6: Wadi Rum adventure – Aqaba After breakfast you will explore the area, following the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia, by 4×4 adventure Jeep tour, stopping too see Nabatean rock inscriptions and the red sand dunes. There is also the option of trying a ride on a camel, the “ship of the desert.” Afterwards, we leave the desert behind and hit the road to Aqaba on the Red Sea for check-in at your hotel.

Day 7-8: Aqaba at leisure You have two leisure days in Aqaba, Jordan’s only seaport. Relax at the beach, go swimming, browse the many shops and bazaars, or discover the amazing and varied undersea life on a glass-bottom boat. Aqaba also has many great places to try snorkeling or diving.

Day 9: Aqaba – Amman Airport After breakfast, you will be transferred to Amman Airport to say farewell and board your flight.
