Petra Back Trail Hike
Arrive to Little Petra at 8:00 am sharp. You will meet your guide and start hiking the back trail to Petra passing by the Monastery and taking a stone carved stairway down into the heart of Petra. (the back trail will take you across a mountain ridge that provides spectacular views of Wadi Araba). After visiting Qaser Al Bent you will have a lunch break. (There are two restaurants that offer a decent buffet for JD14 US$19).
After lunch you will continue to the Theater, the Treasury and the Court, then go through a long narrow gorge called the Dark Siq (Siq Al Mudlem). This is a narrow and windy gorge. In some parts it is so narrow that you can walk on the sides of the gorge.
This trail will take 8-9 hours and ends at Petra Visitor Center at Wadi Musa declaring the end of our adventure.

Prices
Prices are quoted in US dollars per person and are valid until December 2014.
Trip notes
- This is a full-day private tour to Petra from the back road
- our guide would be a Bedouin guide
- this tour needs good condition to walk
- you need walking shoes ,sun cream ,hate
- its a few hours walking in the sun
- the road is moderate you need to do a little easy climbing
Payment Policy
Reservations should be made as far in advance as possible so we can make the appropriate arrangements.
The booking will be secured upon receiving a deposit of 25%, or, during the Christmas and New Year holidays, a deposit of 50%. This deposit is part of your final payment. Deposits can only be made by wire transfer or through Western Union.
Tipping
It is customary in Jordan to express satisfaction and gratitude for good service by giving a tip. A tip is much appreciated by guides, drivers, cleaning staff, etc., but tipping is not obligatory and the amount is up to the tipper’s discretion.
