 Amman and Bethlehem Tour

Day 1: Around the Sea of Galilee, Visit the “Man in Galilee” museum where a 2000 year old fishing boat is on display, it is one of an estimated 400 fishing boats that sailed on the Sea of Galilee during the time of Jesus, drive along the north shore of the Sea of Galilee, and sail across the Sea of Galilee to experience the tranquility of scenery that has changed little during the past 2000 years (sailing depends on weather conditions). Next, drive towards the scenic northern Golan Heights and on to Emek Ha Bacha, one of the major battlegrounds of the Yom Kippur War (October 1973). Proceed through Druiz villages, descending to the Hula Valley via Banias and on to the biblical and Canaanite town of Tel Dan, transfer to your hotel for overnight in Galilee.

Day 2: Upper Galilee – Northern Cities, Travel to the Upper Galilee to visit Safad, centre of Kabbala and Jewish mysticism, continue to Zippori (Sepphoris), capital of Galillee in the 1st Century and drive towards the coast to Akka (Acrre), a gateway port city to the holy land during the crusader period with its intricate subterranean city of Crusader halls and sanctuaries. Continue to Haifa to the Bahai Gardens for a panoramic view of the city from Mt. Carmel, and then back to your hotel for the overnight in Galilee.

Day 3: Nazareth – Jerusalem, Drive through the Lower Galilee to visit the village of Cana, the traditional location of the first miracle performed by Jesus, to Nazareth and the ‘Church of Annunciation’, and continue to Megiddo – Armageddon, one of the key archaeological sites in understanding the history of the holy land. Travel west to the shores of the Mediterranean for a visit to Caesaria Maritima the Great’s masterpiece and domicile of the Roman governors, including Pontius Pilate, and then continue to Jerusalem to your hotel for overnight.

Day 4: Jerusalem Museums – Bethlehem, Start the morning with a visit to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial Institute with its new historical museum, then on to the Israel Museum and Shrine of the book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Next, subject to local conditions, drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity and Manger Square. Drive back to New Jerusalem, stopping at the Menorah in front of the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, and to your hotel for overnight.

Day 5: Jerusalem of Gold, There isn’t a city in the world that evokes so much emotion, embracing so many people and for thousands of years. Start the morning driving by Mount Scopus, passing the WW1 British cemetery, Hadassah Hospital and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a stop at the top of Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the Old City, then descend to the Garden of Gethsemane at the foot of the mountain and continue downward through the Kidron Valley with its biblical monuments and then up to the walled city. Next we will be at the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site, walk the Via Dolorosa (Road of Suffering), stopping at ‘Stations of the Cross’ along the way, till Gologotha and to the Church of the Holy Sepulche. Visit the Tower of David Museum, of the history of Jerusalem. Walk above the Roman Cardo, and exit the walled town via Zion gate to Mount Zion for a visit to Dormiton Abbey and the Room of the Last supper, then Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 6: Free day before transfer to the airport from Jerusalem or transfer to Eilat.

    Prices are quoted in US Dollars per person per trip and valid till September 2013, except during Christmas, New Year and Easter holidays. Single room occupancy is applied for those coming with others and prefer single occupancy, so there will be a different rate for solo traveler.

    6 – 11.99 pay 50% of tour price
    12+ pay full adult tour price

  • Payment Policy

    Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired Egypt tour, spaces will be secured upon receiving a deposit of 25 %, and during the Christmas and New Year holidays and tour packages the required deposit is 50%. This deposit forms part of your final payment. Deposits can only be made by credit card, wire transfer, or Western Union

  • Jordan  Entry Visa

    You need to have a valid passport at least 6 months beyond your scheduled return date to enter Jordan and you can obtain a visa from the Jordanian Consulate before departure. Also, entry visas are available upon arrival at Jordanian airports for USD 30 per passport for certain nationalities. Please check with the Jordanian Consulate for details.

  • Tipping

    It is a customary attitude for expressing ones satisfaction of good services rendered to him by staff on duty with him. Any tips offered would be appreciated, however you are not obligated to do so.
