Day 1: Aqaba
Our representative will meet you at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba and assist you through the visa process. We will then take you to your hotel in Aqaba.
Day 2: Aqaba/ Petra (optional)
You can choose to spend a free day in Aqaba exploring the city and relaxing on the shore of the Red Sea, or an optional day-tour to Petra. If you coose the tour, we will pick you up from your hotel at 8 am and drive to Petra. There you will ride a horse to the start of the eerie Siq entrance canyon, walk through the Siq to the famous Treasury, then expore the Royal Tombs, the Roman theatre and colonnaded street and Qasr al Bint. You will then have free time to wander on your own; some may choose to climb to the Monastery. After a late lunch at a restaurant, we’ll head back to Aqaba for the night.
Day 3: Aqaba/ Dead Sea (optional)
Relax in Aqaba or come on the optional day-tour to the Dead Sea. The tour starts at 8 am, when we will pick you up from your hotel and drive to the Dead Sea Spa Hotel, where you will have free time to float in the mineral-rich waters and get a massage or mud-pack. We will eat lunch at the Dead Sea Spa Hotel and head back to Aqaba at 5 pm.
Day 4: Aqaba/ Wadi Rum (optional)
Relax in Aqaba for the day, or join the optional afternoon tour to Wadi Rum. The tour starts at 1 pm, when we’ll pick you up from the hotel and drive to Wadi Rum, where we’ll explore the desert in a 2-hour jeep tour and watch the sun set. After dinner in a Bedouin camp, we’ll return to Aqaba for the night.
Day 5: Aqaba/ Jerusalem (optional)
Spend the day in Aqaba, or venture across the border in a day-tour to Jerusalem. The tour starts at 6:30 am. We will assist you across the Wadi Araba border and drive you to Jerusalem, passing the remains of Herod the Great’s fortress at Masada where 960 Jewish Zealots committed suicide in 73 AD rather than surrender to the Romans. We will see Ein Gedi, where King David found refuge from King Saul in the wilderness and wrote some of the Psalms, and Jericho, the world’s oldest continuously occupied city. We approach Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which has the best panoramic view of the city, Temple Mount and the famous Dome of the Rock. We then proceed to the old city Jerusalem, entering through Dung Gate to visit the Wailing Wall, the last remnants of the Jewish temple destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. We will visit the church of Holy Sepulchre, where according to Christian tradition Jesus was crucified and buried, and the most important stations of the Via de la Rosa, where Jesus carried the cross. At the end of the day, we will return to Aqaba the way we came.
Day 6: Aqaba
A free day for enjoying Aqaba and the beach.
Day 7: Aqaba/ Cruise (optional)
Enjoy a free day in Aqaba or join us for a 4-hour cruise and snorkelling in the Red Sea. We’ll pick you up at 11 am; the cruise leaves at 11:30. You’ll have the chance to snorkel among the reefs before lunch on board the boat. We arrive back in port at 3 pm from where we will take you back to your hotel.
Day 8: Aqaba airport
We will transfer you from Aqaba to the airport in time to catch your flight home.
