Itinerary
Day 1 :
Amman - Petra
Morning:
- 7:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Amman in an air-conditioned vehicle.
- 9:30 AM: Arrive in Petra and begin your guided walking tour of the ancient city.
- Highlights of Petra:
- The Siq: The narrow gorge that leads into Petra.
- The Treasury (Al-Khazneh): The iconic monument carved into red rock.
- The Street of Facades: Tombs and facades carved into the cliffside.
- The Amphitheater: An ancient Nabatean theater.
- The Royal Tombs: Impressive rock-cut tombs.
- Optional Add-on (if time permits): Visit the Monastery (Ad-Deir) or climb to the High Place of Sacrifice.
- Highlights of Petra:
- 1:00 PM: Break for lunch at a local restaurant near Petra.
- 2:00 PM: Continue exploring Petra at your leisure or relax at the Visitor Center.
Afternoon:
- 4:00 PM: Depart Petra and drive to your accommodation in Wadi Musa (town near Petra) for an overnight stay.
- Evening: Free time to explore Wadi Musa or relax at your hotel.
Day 2 :
Petra - Wadi Rum - Dead Sea or Amman
Morning:
- 7:30 AM: Breakfast at your hotel in Wadi Musa.
- 8:30 AM: Depart for Wadi Rum (1.5-hour drive).
- 10:00 AM: Arrive in Wadi Rum and embark on a 2-hour jeep tour with a local Bedouin guide.
- Wadi Rum Highlights:
- Lawrence’s Spring: A natural spring with historic significance.
- Khazali Canyon: Known for its ancient inscriptions.
- Red Sand Dunes: Stunning sand dunes that are perfect for climbing and taking photos.
- Um Frouth Rock Bridge: A natural rock arch with panoramic views.
- The Desert Valley: Vast and mesmerizing desert landscapes.
- Wadi Rum Highlights:
Afternoon:
- 12:00 PM: Return to the Wadi Rum Visitor Center after the jeep tour.
